My 05 Crd was stalling and I figured it out being the CPS causing it. But I moved to an apartment so don't have a garage to work on it. Took it to the stealership to get it fixed. Just got it back tonight, picked it up after the service shop closed. Driving it back something seemed off, looked down and its going 100 RPMs above what it was before I took it in. Its like the tranny isn't shifting into overdrive. Come to a stop sign and put it in first start out and go to second and no shift. Put in drive and it shifts. but its the only time it shifts. So now I have to call the stealership and complain cause it was shifting just fin when I brought it in.

Jeep Liberty CRD Lesson 1] Never take a CRD to a dealership.

Their 2.8L techs were trained once, nearly a decade ago, on a vehicle they never get to work on. Skill fade has totally set in. Use the thread at the top of the "CRD: Love that torque" page to find a mechanic close to you, and work something out with them.

Not to imply love for dealer I would be cautious about which dealer I used for CRD specific issue which are mostly engine related. Most every thing else is general Jeep specific or basic car. For example CRD auto tranny is used on a bunch of DCJ vehicles

Well here's all the codes I pulled after I brought got it back. The only one I had prior to bringing it in was the egr. The rest all were there after I picked it up. Taking it back in now and told then it better not cost me a darn thing. Image

If you must go to a stealership, assume complete incompetence, and specify that absolutely NO changing the software. Good news is that Keith at GDE will reprogram for $50.

Did you happen to have a GDE tune in it, considering all the codes you now have?

X2 on stay away from the dealers, and if you must, tell them no programing on anything.

Where are you located, sounds like you need to have one of the real experts from this forum take a look at it for you. Unless you like to pay the dealer to experiment with your money? :juggle:

Lots of things can cause the transmission to go into limp mode.
TCM and ECM are the last things I would try to replace.

I would start with the transmission input and output speed sensors.

EDIT:
The first things I would check would be all the harness connectors to the TCM, ECM, and transmission.

Well I'm in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin. So if some of y'all experts are in the area and willing to look I'd be happy to let ya.

My biggest issue right now with the dealership is it was working perfectly minus the stalling prior to me taking it to them. They work on it and now it all f'ed up.

Are all the grounds clean? I was having my trans go into limp mode and throwing codes.. The grounds got cleaned, and runs great now.

I would have to agree it is not a coincidence that something mechanical, or electrical failed, more like the dealer screwed up you vehicle. Sorry, no where near Wisconsin.
