After identifying with certainty that my daily driver's tiny bubbles are a head gasket leak (it consumes fluid without leaks), and another one that I thought was leaking, but after two leaks were fixed, and maybe air trapped elsewhere, it quit making bubbles.
#3 pours out a really NICE consistent flow of bubbles kind of like a beer, but doesn't have pressure with the 30 second cold test. After replacing heads and all the coolant on several I am just about to skip any more diagnosis on this one since this is more bubbles than I've ever seen, but I figured I'd start a thread on this for reference (my google search for tiny bubbles came up empty?).
Ok, so here's the good part. I picked this one up from Midwest diesel supply site-unseen (crazy, I know, but we have about zero low priced ones in the West). These fine gents gladly sold me one with oil in the coolant, but after I called them on it, they said they put a new head on it... It does have a new looking head, but I'm doubting they installed it, or they botched it. They also hid the obvious cancer at the top center of the windshield, so my auto-body guy will get some business. They also said they would call me back after talking to the guy that did the head, but they didn't. Oh, and the GDE tune programmer they said they'd ship with the title, they didn't...
So, I feel better knowing what condition the rockers are in anyhow, so I'll just pull the head, ARP it with a new gasket and freshly refinished head. Why did I start this post?
Oh yeah, if anyone wants to add anything about their Tiny Bubbles, please do. Maybe we'll learn something new. If not, hopefully this was mildly entertaining
