Hey guys,

I was looking for the part # for the hoses for power steering, and I found these:
68146829AA - pressure hose
52088719AE - return hose.

My P.S. pressure hose is wet, and I am thinking to replace both of them, for peace of mind. Can you please confirm if these are the part #s and if not, kindly post the correct ones? Also, do you advise replacing anything else while doing this, regarding power steering? I am replacing the turbo and the thermostat (from turbo diesel freak - hot diesel solutions), so I can play around doing other replacements, since jeep is in "surgery" anyways. Thanks a lot!

This is what I had to order : 68146829AA. It comes as a set at the tune of $400. It is CRD specific. Your best bet is to pull it and take to a hydraulic shop for pressure test and have them fix the leak.

I tried that route but struck out and had to buck up and order OEM. There is a thread on my saga. Search power steering hose to find it. Not sure how to post thread links through tapatalk.

Cool. Thanks a lot. Will order your kit. Parts.com has it for less than 300 bucks.

I have mine to do, generally a hose leak will be due to a bad crimp at a hose end; that's always the weakest point of a hose. Power steering systems don't run at "high" pressure by hydraulic standards; the fact that so many of us have had this problem leads me to believe that parts supplier had a glitch in their manufacturing process. You can go to NAPA and they have ferrule type hose ends that will allow you to reuse any "special" OEM hose ends (namely, weird tubing bends). You can get a hose made for cheap. That's what I'm going to do, unless someone has tried this and there's a clearance issue?

That's not a bad idea... I have to go to NAPA to pay my bill anyways, I'll ask to see what they have. If not, I'll go with the stock kit one.
