So I went to turn the heat on today in my jeep and well, nothing happened, a small amount of heat makes its way out but no matter what the selector is on, the fan does not kick on. Anyone have any ideas or experiences like this? Odd since yesterday it was blowing cold air just fine. Another small issue to add to the list!

It sounds to me like your blower motor may be dead. Not a huge issue-- just a 10 minute swap for a new one.

If it worked on high but not on other settings I would suspect the blower motor resistor. But since it is not working at all, perhaps the blower motor is dead. Any strange sounds/smells the last time it was working?

Here's a good how-to thread:

No smells at all. I read about the resistor and it doesn't show any signs of that, looks like it is the blower motor. Guess i'll pick one up tomorrow.

Thanks for the Link :D

It could just be a computer glitch. Disconnect the Neg (-) battery cable for 10 minutes to reset the computers.
Also check fuse M34,

tap on the blower motor just like you would with the starter... not as hard!

also, check air filters.

All fixed, it was the motor, nice clicking sound when I spin it by hand. I like easy fixes like this, took all of 20 minutes.

Thanks for the help guys :D

Great to hear you got it taken care of! It's fun to be able to fix things like this yourself, but you also saved $100 over what the dealer would have charged.

Probably would have been a $300 job at a dealer, since they would have had to charge 1hr for diag then another 30min to 1 hr for actual work, plus the marked up price for the parts, lol.

All total i spend $125, new blower and new cabin filters.
