Hi, I have recently purchased a 2012 Jeep Liberty Latitude with Uconnect 430 w/ Navigation.

I'm am looking to add the Alpine Power Pack KTP-445u to the stock radio, as well as new speakers and an additional amp and sub. The additional amp does not have line level inputs so I will have to use a line out converter to get RCA's to the amp.

My first question is, which wires in the factory harness are the speakers?
Are any web sites available to view them? I have found a lot of info for the older model Liberty, are the factory harnesses the same (speaker colors)?

Second question is, is their a way to use maybe a 4 channel LOC to get two sets of RCA's to the back of the car so I could have both amps together? I have the separate power wire for the Alpine Power Pack. I figured I could use 9 wire (I think that's what it's called) to go back to front of the car to get signal to the speakers.

I haven't began taking anything apart yet and I will be checking for the factory amp (I don't know if it has one, there is no subwoofer though).

Im going to try not to be an booty here, but all of your questions are on the internet. The 08-12 kk (liberty) are the same wire harness including the limited and jet models. Most of installs on the audio are plug and play but require some reasearch and common sense.

Pairing the stock and alpine amps is a STUPID idea. Your not going to benifit whats so ever with them. Just a headache.

If this seems to confusing of a task, save your time and let a profesional do it.

Also, asking another fourm like alpine or others like them what to do. This is no task for a beginer for sure.

Here is a site that has pinouts for most of the connectors: http://connectors.dcctools.com/home.htm Several companies also make a pigtail that plugs into the factory wiring so you don't have to splice which will help but you are going to need to make your own harness if you want to keep the stock radio.

If you don't have a subwoofer in the rear right, then you won't have an amp. The stock amp uses the CANbus so if you do have the stock amp, there is no easy way to replace it with a aftermarket one.

I would get the adapter harnesses and then wire the radio to the powerpack then then powerpack to the factory harness. For the subwoofers, I would splice the rear channel off of the adapter harness and run that to the back. Keep in mind the stock radio needs the CANbus to function and if there is any problems on the bus your jeep will go crazy. Below is a diagram to show you what I mean.

I'm going to look into using the harness as you described above if I do use the Power Pack. I have heard that Jeep Libertys with the navigation radio have a factory amp. If that is true I am not going to be using the Power Pack. I don't have the factory subwoofer in the back. It's cold here in NY so I'm not pulling apart the rear cargo area to check for a factory amp right now lol.

The subwoofer issue I have a handle on now.

Probably not doing any of this for a few weeks as it stands now due to the weather, I just wanted to make sure I have and understand everything I need to do before changing everything out.
