I have a 2012 Kk 4x4 and have recently been wanting a winch and off road lights. I know that when the car is running it really doesn't matter about the battery because the alternator takes all the work. And if i just had just that it would be fine, but I also have two 10" subs in the back. Now all of those on their own would be no problem but since i do want all of them i don't want that much stress on the battery that also has to start my car. So for any of you guys who have done this before or just want to give a suggestion leave a reply. I wish to know 1.) Am i crazy for thinking that would too much stress on one battery? 2.) Where would the new battery go? 3.) Difficulty of this project?

I think it's overkill. You should do just fine with a single quality high capacity battery and perhaps a higher capacity alternator.

I don't believe a second battery is necessary for off-road lights unless you plan to install a whole bunch of them. And nobody uses their winch all that often, not often enough to warrant a second battery.
To properly install a second battery you'll need a place to put the second battery, cables and a switching device. It is possible.

I don't have off-road lights on my YJ but I do have a Warm M8000 winch. To power it I have a deep cycle 1,000 CCA battery and it's done me just fine.
