@Mass- Thank you for the info

@ anyone who knows- I have another question.

From what I understand, our CRD's uses 3 injection events, a pre-injection, main injection and post injection.
The Pre-injection is supposed to lower engine rattle, the main injection is...well, powers the Jeep forward and the post injection is for NOX reduction by increasing ECT temp. Is this information correct? I believe some of you might call it, "pilot injection event" and I believe there is two of them.

I am looking to eliminate at least one and if possible two of those pilot event to reduce fuel consumption. Does anyone know the MAP address related to those pilot injection events? (808 ECU)

My plan is to eliminate those pilot injection events, increase main injection timing by 10 degrees, raise the rail pressure at high demand, decrease it a low power demand and increase boost pressure to obtain a better burn. If all works well I should obtain a tune that can give me a consumption of 8l/100km.
Hopefully.

I am not sure where they are but I would start by identifying maps which have temperature on one axis. Not a clue what the values within the map will be but I have heard that the injection events change as the engine temperature increases. You will want to look for a map which has axis values something like 2731 or 2831 and possibly up to something around 3731. This is the temperature in Kelvin, multiplied by 10. So 2731 is 273.1 Kelvin or 0 Celsius.

I typically use WinOLS for all my searches and navigation of tunes and then just use ECMTitanium to make the actual edit once I figure out where it should be. WinOLS will sometimes catch these temperature values and automatically convert them to Celsius, but other times it wont. You have to look at the hexdump itself to see what the axis values on the map are to be sure if winols made a conversion or not. A map with -10, 0, 10, 20, 30 etc on one axis was likely converted from K to C by WinOLS

I have been trying to write to my 06 Liberty. I do not think it is acceping the write. The check engine light is staying on no matter which 808 program I try and load. The code is shows EGR circuit and DTC circuit. I erase the codes between each write and they come back.

I have now tried to load every 808 program on the first page of this post.

I even had a friend that has already done his 05 liberty help me and we could not get it to write.

Please Help
Thank you

Have you removed the EGR entirely? If so, you also need to go in and zero out the corresponding EGR codes. I dont know if the tunes from the first page have these codes removed as they were only intended to shut the EGR off.

Yes.
I have done the Weeks stage 1 & 2 kit. I have no way of opening this file and removing it. Is there a tune with this already removed?
Thanks

No, none of the files have the EGR codes removed. If you can tell me what codes you need to get rid of I can do it for you. It takes about 5 mins to do. All you need to do is for you to send me a copy of your .BIN file.

@Masshole- Thanks for the info!, if anyone else has more info about pre-injection maps, please let me know. Any info helps :)

Could you modify the 808 stage 2 file and send it to me?
I cannot attach my .BIN file
My Current codes are
P0403 EGR
P1261 DTC
P1263 DTC
P1265 DTC
P1267 DTC

Thanks

Are your 4 glow plugs shot? The P0403 Is normal after an EGR/FCV unit removal. But the other 4 codes shows something wrong with your 4 glow plugs. Do you have a hard time starting your jeep under 41F?

I just put the 4 new Etecno metal 7 volt glow plugs in from ID parts. Do I have to change something in the program when I changed them?

Nope.
Just clear the codes.
If everything is properly connected for the GP wiring then the codes should not return.

Something is wrong. I have cleared the codes atleast 10 times. I need to check the wiring.
I guess it is possible someone had 5v glow plugs installed before I bought the jeep and I put 7v back in causing the problem.

Is there a way of knowing if my old ones were 5v?

Thanks

The voltage should be stamped on the glow plugs.
For example: Bosch 5V, Bosch 7V
Check if there is a white shrink wrap on the first glow plug connector closer to the alternator. Its possible you inverted the order of the connectors, also push a little hard on the connectors, its possible they are not seated properly.

I tried to load the BIN's to Tony's ECU using my PC, same setup that works on my '05 (811) but using his 808 files. It appears to write but can't be sure. Is there a way to verify the BIN is actually written to the ECU?

BTW, I did the WEEKS ST1 and 2 on mine at the same time as the ECU flash....no CEL on mine.

The 5v's should also have a red plastic ring on the end where the wiring plugs onto it.

First of all I want to say thank you for your help.

I just verified that my old glow plugs were 5v. What do I need to do to change it back to a 7v system?

I still need to get a program that will eliminate the CEL for removing the EGR system from my liberty.

According to Yeti, you should not need to do anything. Apparently the later software versions already have provisions for both. If you are having issue with all 4 plugs then maybe the relay is bad. It should be sitting right behind the battery and say bosch on it.

I'm not sure about that.
The ECM really has no clue which glow plugs are installed. All it knows is its programming.
If its programmed for 5 volts its only going to apply 5 volts to the plugs.
When the key is first turned on, the ECM performs a circuit test. If the ECM detects a resistance value that is out of range a DTC will be set.

I'll bet that if you go back to the 5 volt plugs the DTCs will go away.

I am running 5v on a tune which gde confirmed was meant for 7v without any issue or cel. I've been running it like this for 2 years now and have only replaced one plug so far

Bin name shows 1037372424 and info inside bin shows 1037375603.
Is the 2424 just your renaming of the 603 because of your mod?

Also did you change the hysteresis maps too?

Also I modified Yeti's 808 flash to delete the P0403 code. I haven't loaded it yet so it's not tested.

Tony, since installing this flash no codes have returned. Worked for me!
Give it a try.
