Ok so i have a 2004 jeep liberty 2.4l with the 5 speed nv1500 with dings dents and rust all over and a 2004 jeep liberty 3.7 with the auto 42rle with what i think is a warped head and rusty body. I have the opportunity to buy a 2003 jeep liberty auto 3.7 in good shape with a bad motor. What im wondering is can I take my 2.4l engine and put it in the 03 with either auto transmission? Has anyone done this? The jeep wranglers if i remember correctly had the 2.4l and the 42rle from 03-06 so if i needed a pcm could i use one of them?
