Unlike others who purchased a new diesel, I will continue using my 06 CRD as my daily driver. It has been more reliable for past 55k miles than the first 100k miles. I put about 50 miles/day on her and another 300-350 miles towing a 2 place sled trailer each weekend. She ain't perfect but she does the job.
My newest addition to my "fleet" is a small upgrade which has 440 HP and 860 ft-lbs of torque and is replacing my '13 F150 Longbed Ecoboost with 11,300 lb tow package.
2015 F350 Platinum 172" wheel base, 8 foot bed, with EVERY imaginable option to include dual alternators, FX4 package, snow plow package, heated/cooled seats, factory "puck" 5th wheel system, retractable running boards, bedliner, Load Range E Michelins on premium 20" wheels, moonroof, etc.etc..
Fuel economy on I-25 was 18.1 mpg versus 13.4 mpg on my F150 Ecoboost with 3.73 axle and I expect towing mpg to be better than the 6 to 7.9 mpg I got on my F150 EB>
I upgraded to the F350 because I ran out of payload capacity and am planning on "double towing" my ATV trailer in back of my 5th wheel this summer. Wife is tired of driving a separate vehicle to tow the UTV trailer.

The Ecoboost is a great truck and is more truck than most need but to be honest it is more boost than eco.
Now having all diesels in my household, I gotta figure out to get rid of old gas when I pull my toys out of storage.
