Do you typically ride around with gas in the can, or only when you need to? The extras look great added to that early production bumper!

Currently the can is empty. If I do end up on extended trips I will have it filled but for every day driving I don't see the point.

My jeep is in a "fuel saver" configuration or as close as I can get to it due to traveling for some training at work.
Going about 120-150 miles a day for a month I'm trying to save a few mpgs where I can.

I'm running a set of 245/75 highway tires which have provided a pretty decent mpg increase at normal highway speed.
Cruising at 70 I have achieved 21mpg with my lift and heavy armor.
At 80-90 I get 15-17

And with my MTR's I was getting 13-16mpg at 70 and 10mpg at 80-90

I figured you of all people Gage, would be interested in those #'s (:

Yes, I like numbers! Make sure the psi in the tires is bumped up as well. I bet ya the ride is quiter, too!

If you want best mileage on the highway go a bit higher. Mine are usually between 36 and 40. What you're at is definitely good. Just don't forget to check the psi in cold weather.
Glad you're seeing better mileage!

Fun little off-road adventure today. Went with my brother in a 16' AEV Jeep Rubicon and my dad with his H3.

Also, just ordered the Ironman/JBA 4" econolift and JBA UCAs!

Will be reworking the bumper to add a winch shortly. Also completed the rear bumper and swing out, went to a OME/JBA a-arm setup since I've last been on. Also been working on my expedition trailer so I can get the Tepui off my roof.

Nice KA & trailer! I see the welder in your shop... Build the steel bumpers and trailer frame yourself? If so, way to go! They look awesome. 8)

I just added the heavy duty mechanical cooling fan & clutch from the tow package and aftermarket heated mirrors. Mirrors took all of 5 minutes each side but the mechanical fan was a little more involved since the threads on the water pump were pretty rusty. All in all they were pretty cheap upgrades, less than $100 for each upgrade but well worth it.

looks nice! I've been thinking about plastidipping my grill black and I've started looking at aux lights again. Anyway you could link to the led bar you got and maybe a tutorial of how you mounted and installed everything?

Made an upgrade to a very original early production run ATH rear bumper!
It has far too much history to just get rid of it so we added a hitch receiver tire hilift and Jerry can holder.

Looks good but as a heads up did you reinforce the bumper where it attaches to the frame? I did the same thing you did but on the other side. the bumpers and everything are built great but you have to remember that it wasn't made to have weight of an open tire carrier and gas can hanging off the back. Just food for thought. It should only really be a problem when its open but the bumper still will feel the weight still when it is closed. Also especially if you to any thing with that too.
