Do you have a way to show what the MAP is reading? Maybe Torque on Android?

Is it low on power?

The MAP sensor measures the air pressure in the intake manifold, which helps the PCM determine how much fuel to inject.

Smoke would suggest that you are not getting enough air/boost, however you say you have full power and no smoke. That suggests to me that you are making plenty of boost. Why are you getting low boost codes then? I would guess that maybe the MAP is reading low and the jeep is trying to compensate and possibly over boosting in the process.

You should see 2200-2300 mbar of boost at full throttle. It hits about 2300 at ~2000rpm and drops to 2200 by 4000rpm.

None of my diesels intentionally put out smoke, and I got 6 of them.

Of course, 2 Jeep CRD, 3 Sprinter CRD and John Deere 2305 mechanical injection.

Now if you get the GDE hot tune you will see some smoke on heavy acceleration.

Black smoke is unburnt fuel, stench, and a bad reputation for diesels.

Why would you need that, anyway?

Note: I usually drive pretty reserved, and rarely exceed 2,000 rpms. As such, I tend to get a little carbon build-up in my exhaust system. If someone pisses me off enough, I'll stop the throttle (bad for a diesel, I know) to hit 3K revs just enough to belch that cloud of built up crap out, but only if their windows are open.
