This has probably been covered a hundred times so I'm sorry if this is a common question. But should I replace the relay module next? I just don't know where else to go with fixing it and would love to not have to spend more money...thanks guys!

What codes are you getting?
Do you clear the codes and they immediatly come back?

Make sure that the wire connectors are firmly snapped onto the glow plugs.

Is the ECM programmed for your glow plugs ie. 5v or 7v?

2006 LHD CRD has a known problem with the wire harness being trapped behind the Fuel Filter Head Mounting Bracket causing it to fray and short to chassis or to some wire next to it...causes all sorts of weird problems!

Remove this mounting bracket and check the wires behind it for damage.

The cel comes on intermittently on first morning start ups in cold weather and generally doesn't come on the rest of the day. It had the stend stock ceramics and I replaced them with the etechno 7v and I replaced the harness (kit from idparts) so the wiring is all there and clean. I'm about to drive it to Florida so I inspected all the wiring to make sure nothing was frayed and replaced a bunch of wire covers. The cel doesn't generally come on in warm weather and if memory serves the scan tool just read the #3 plug was bad which is why I replaced all of them.

I'll hafta look tomorrow, I bought them a few months ago and just got around to installing them. But they've only been on the jeep for a day and the cel was on before that...so I'm hoping the computer just needs some time to readjust and there aren't more burnt out parts in the system.

I was getting a p1263 on my '05. Installed a set of 7v Etechnos and haven't seen the CEL since. You might want to grab your multimeter and check the offending plug.

Okay, I'll definitely do that. So it doesn't sound like the big controller that hangs out down by the battery?
