When you save your file just rename like this:
Example

File.MOD rename to File.BIN than save, it works for me.

OK, easily done renaming.
However I thought MOD was a something different, otherwise it would have saved as .bin by default.

I guess I should wait for someone like Yeti to confirm the file is OK to be written to the Jeep.

Yeah you should wait for someone to check it first, I only have experience with the 808 ecu

.bin or .MOD do not make difference for MPPS , I'allready reply in pm , the fcv value must set over your original value , and the stright value after the two HUMP for Hysteresis must stay original and you must work on your original file not on the modificated file , use the MOD file you find here like original and in the mod file selction open your original then apply the change ,. save it and close , reopen your original now and your new mod file , you must see difference only in the tuned map , not other bit or point , then post it here again and we watch if you can load it. or if you want you can choose my offer ;-)

I wanted to post up some results from an engine brake mod I tested out today. What I did was increase the VNT control maps at 0 injection quantity from 2400 to 4800 rpms. I believe I set them to around 61%(6100), which is kinda low but wanted to ensure I did not overspin the turbo. What this does is partially close the nozzles in the turbine side so that more back pressure is created in the exhaust and it puts drag on the engine helping to slow it down.

The chart below shows me starting in 5th gear at ~70-72 mph and 0% throttle. I then hit the OD off button to force the transmission into 3rd, still at 0% throttle, and let to rpms jump to 2600-2700 rpm. In the chart is the RPM and boost levels from both my base tune and Engine Brake tune. I did offset the engine brake tune slightly so that they were showing the same RPM at the same time.

Image

so the Engine brake tune shows a clear difference in boost once the transmission is shifted to 3rd and the engine is above 2400 rpm, which means that backpressure is higher and the turbo is working harder. Where I live the ambient pressure is about 800 mbar, so the stock tune was making about 140mbar of boost and the engine brake tune was making 700 mbar of boost. I show a section of 5th gear(low RPM) to show that the engine braking does only occur at 2400 rpm and above. You can see that before the downshift the two tunes are generating the same boost. So basically, this should provide an increase in engine braking

Oddly enough, the rpms seem to drop faster on the base tune. I dont know exactly why this is but it could have been as simple as the wind blowing or being on a slightly shallower angle. Ill play with this more when I get some time.

The purpose is to provide more engine braking for towing by using the turbo as a makeshift exhaust brake. GDE did this with the Ram Ecodiesel and Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel tunes. GM has a switch in the cab of their new Colorado and Canyon Diesel trucks that does this same thing as well.

Can someone post a link to the latest version cable and software? Scanning through the 45 page thread, I must have missed it.

Just got my V13 in today. I plan on hooking it up soon.
I'm curious if I can use this to turn on my cruise control. I went to the dealer and they were useless.
I'm driving to Denver Monday and would really like my new cruise switches to work.

It's for an 06 CRD.

Mine works on windows 10 but it was not always stable when I try to read a file and save it to the hard drive. It will occasionally lock the MPPS software up when the save window pops up after it finishes reading the ECU. It doesnt do anything bad to the jeep when this happens, it just means you have to get out of the program, reopen, re-read the file and hope that it doesn't freeze again.

I have noticed that it has gotten much more stable as windows 10 has updated over the last few months and I actually cannot remember the last time it did this to me. I have had Windows 10 since it was in beta, so I think maybe they fixed some backwards compatibility issues over time.

The cruise control is ECU related, but I dont know how it is turned on and off. GDE was able to activate it on my ECU when I sent it into them to get my hot tune but am unsure if its part of the tune they loaded or if there is something else they access with their flashing devices.

Has anyone attempted to locate the map for the fuel gauge interpretation to make it linear? That thing is seriously annoying. I've gotten used to it, but I'd like to know how ,unchanged fuel I have instead of having to infer it based what I know about the gauge's inconsistencies.
