I never asked about valve springs being shimmed. I just trusted that they knew what they were doing. So far so good.

Iphone? I believe they run everything in flash on that website, so that might be a problem?

I'll try to post individual pictures

Injector 4 was very nasty and took forever to get out. I believe it was not properly sealed most likely, it was cemented in with carbon deposits. You can see how filthy it is still covered with sludge from carbon deposits/ penetrant. they are in order with #4 on the left.

Got the head back from the machine shop today. It passed pressure test no problem and They only had to take it down .008 to make everything perfect instead of .012 as originally thought. That should put me perfectly in spec for the 2 hole 1.52mm gasket. Not bad for $160.13

Did any of you guys replace the valvestem seals when you reassembled yours?

The block, I left out last batch of pictures. There still a very nice crosshatch on the liner walls even with 130k miles

I replaced my stem seals, but if they came out in good shape, I wouldn't get too worried about them if you didn't. I think my machinist sourced some VW ones that are the same size.

Weird, works fine on android tablet and pc. Not on android phone though...

Btw, if you need an injector, stop by and get one. I have 3 that look good and one a bit butchered and missing the nozzle. Not sure how they are but should have no more than 145k, per the guy I got them from.

John

Thank you, I think my #4 should be ok, Its just filthy from all the carbon deposits around it. Mabye when it was reinstalled the crush washer wasn't seated right or something, who knows.
