Will this be offered as part of his lift packages anytime soon? Should I hold off getting the 4" until this has been released?

Quick question, I have the the Y link extension from JBA and since installing it my rear prop shaft knocks against the exhaust when I go with full extension, if I bought this i wouldn't need Y Link anymore and would the Tri Angulated set up stop the knocking against the exhaust at full articulation? Also is it that it would improve the rear U Joints life on the prop shaft as I can rotate the angle on the axle to be less acute and more in line?

Not sure yet as it's a bit pricey when you add shipping & Duty at this end, but the idea is very good. Just need to know if it stops the knocking against the exhaust.

Where is yours hitting at?
Mine still has stock tail pipe on it and doesn't touch, I could take some photos to show if needed
Let me know

Tom,

I will try to get some pictures now the weather is improving to show you where it's knocking against the exhaust.

Also any up dates from people how have fitted the 4 Link? I would like some feed back as I am considering buying one and the cost shipped over to the UK comes to over $600 (excluding taxes at this end, another 20%), you can buy a lot of replacement A arms for that money.....

I would just have a muffler shop bend the pipe to slide the muffler over an inch or so. Shouldn't be very expensive. About $100 here

Tom,

Apologies for the long delay in getting back to you with a photo of where the rear prop shaft is knocking against the exhaust box, here is the photo, sadly not the best but should give you an idea:

Image

Any Idea how to make it stop? I am sitting at 22 in at the back (and on all corners) I have already 3 1/2 hockey pucks at the back so around 3.5" bump stop.

Looks like the fix will be either a smaller muffler or a BFH

If you can get away without a muffler, you should delete that waste of space. I don't like noise, and I hear zero difference from the magnaflow muffler that my Jeep came with to the now strait pipe that replaced it. The cat silences it well

Is the chromoly upgrade necessary/useful if your not doing extreme/Moab grade wheeling?

Sorry but what do you mean by BFH?

Not changing the muffler and didn't have this problem before I fitted the Y link extension.

Thank you, but that is not the solution, also it's in a hard spot of the exhaust.

In that case, like someone said before, just have an exhaust shop bend the pipe a little. I need to do the same thing as my cat is touching the body after my muffler delete.
