I'm just curious how much they where going for at the time vs the gasser !!!!!

I thought I remember them being like $26,000 or so.

Edit: the car and driver review says:

PRICE AS TESTED:$26,675 (base price: $25,245)

That was for a diesel sport

The diesel option was $3695

My Export 2.5 CRD Manual Sport was about $27,400 in May 2002.
The 3.7 Gasser was cheaper but the cost of fuel here made the CRD a much better proposition in the long run!

Our currency has dropped a major amount since then compared to the US $ so any US vehicle now would cost about 50% more than say a Korean Brand.....hence why this is my last Jeep

2002 Export CRD 2.5 Sport

In August 2005 my original 05 KJ CRD Sport (no frills just cloth seats, diesel engine, IIRC I paid ca. $150 for after market hitch and plug) cost $21,751.95 after $5,000 trade in and $1,000 loan credit (some sort of silly deal that if instead of paying cash I took out a DCJ loan they would discount the price an added $1,000 - I made 1 loan payment and paid off the loan). So total purchase price before adjustments would have been ca. $27,751.95 to drive off DCJ lot.

Customer package 22g was $1570 with $700 sunroof and $250 heated front seats.

$660 destination charge for a grand total $29,840

I have the window stickers from I think both of the CRDs I have at the moment. I'll try to scan them and post them tomorrow.

I will happily sell the Sport model for $10,000 below list!

I believe the original owner (I'm the third) paid about $38,000 + CDN $ from the dealer. Limited edition modelu , cloth seats etc. Here in BC CANADA
