also.. may have been touched on before, but it's been a while since i read this forum through and through. i'm stuck with a CEL, but when scanning for codes, i come up with nothing. did a battery pull, but still nothing. anybody got any ideas?

cheers,

Will

I'm having this same issue at the moment , just scanned with Torque and a bluetooth adapter and no codes , even though the CEL is on.

I mod'd my bin to eliminate a few codes ( P0102 , P0100 and P1263) last week , ran great with no CEL for a couple days. CEL popped up again yesterday and pulled P009A out of it .. cleared the codes and the CEL didn't go out. Read it again and not faults found.

Has anyone see this and could shade some light on it?

Thanks,

the only thing I konw is that the ELM 327 won't read a transmission code and if I don't remember wrong electrical DTC like a glow plug failure , you need a scanner thatcan read all dtc

Great post, I recently acquired a 2005 CRD from my uncle with 126,000 miles on it... Loving it. As I read through this thread I am wondering if you need to install a EGR elimination kit or does the flash disable it?

the flash disable the FCV and the EGR

Thanks Yeti ,

I let it sit over night , unplugged my ODBII reader , power cycled the tablet I use Torque on. Just pulled the codes fr P009A out of it and cleared the CEL with no issues.

I've read other posts about these adapters lose / get disconnected over time if left plugged into the port. It's done it to me when trying to use the dashboard view on Torque for monitoring.

Cheers,
M

Finally got around to writing the 811 stage 1 tune today. I'm quite certain I had it set on slow speed, and it only took 15 minutes. Does that sound right? The warnings about battery life had me thinking this was going to take a few hours minimum.

the battery need to be stabylized for preventing a drop in voltage during flashing if happen the flash memory can be corrupted

Working on my 2005 Liberty CRD I've done the following

I've read all posts in this thread(took me a while) and recieved my MPPS V13.02 cable. I installed the software on my Windows 10 machine, I mapped the driver and plugged into the Jeep and run as administrator. I selected Jeep Cherokee then 2.8L CRD Bosch EDC 16CP31 K-Line/CAN. I downloaded the following file.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24410513/1037372316.Bin

I find the following in the bin file 1037380811p

Is this an 808 or 811 file?

Thanks for the input, I am anxious to upload this but want to make sure I am doing this properly.

AC, I downloaded your BIN file and opened it in notepad, yours is the 811 version (1037380811P) . Did a find for EDC and found /EDC16C31/ in your file, it definitely is an 811 version.

have any more questions, just ask, we all had to go through this learning experience. I have reflashed my OBC over 8 times now. Be sure and heed the warnings during the reflash: either have a fully changed battery in your CRD or have a battery charger connected; have your laptop fully charged and / or have the AC cable connected to your laptop and very important have no other programs open and have the WiFi (internet connection disabled) during the load! :!: :!: :D

I did as suggested and flashed Nick's 811 EGR/FCV delete + Stage 1 tune and took it to some hills on the highway. Man did it run great! My only concern is I definitely felt the TC shudder around 1600-1800 rpm when stomping on it. I decided to flash the Nick's 811 EGR/FCV delete - stock because my daughter will be driving this rig for school this fall and I want to keep things simple. I will hopefully upgrade the TC down the road and will put a more aggressive tune back on. I don't recall in reading 40+ pages of posts, did folks see a MPG improvement by running a similar tune?

I find that the Yeti 811 stage 2 is a little bit easier on the TC than the stage 1.
Of course, you dont have to stomp on it either. Just ease into the throttle.

I didn't notice any MPG gain with any of the tunes. Just more fun

You can achieve a little better MPG with some of the higher HP/torque tunes if you have a good TC and can get the power to the ground and you have to keep your go foot out of it which trust me is hard to do.... :ROTFL:

I ran Yeti-811-EGR_FCV_Delete-Stage2_HotTune(v1.02)-450Nm this afternoon in a variety of conditions from stop and go to hilly highway. I really like the tune but the TC can't hack it. I am going to put the stockish Nick's 811 EGR/FCV delete back on until I can get a proper TC.

Back on topic, I reflashed Nick's 811 EGR/FCV Delete stock tune and my TC is pacified once again. Thanks for the help.

Did you have any trouble, or did you have to do amything to alter settings, using it on Windows10? I read that it wouldn't work, so I'v been holding off on getting the cable, since my laptop is win10.
