Soak it in gasoline. Then use a plastic bottle brush through the passages. Don't worry about the oil in the camshaft bearings, it will get there shortly after you start the engine. Just make sure the valve cover and cams are as dry as possible when you assemble them back. Doing an oil change soon after is not a bad idea.
