Was reading former post about white CRD that had sand or sludge in radiator from bad HOAT coolant. My heater core gunked up and needed cleaning. Narrowing my temp gauge while towing up hills as Radiator being problem. Jeep has new thermo, fluids, fan clutch. Never did this when new so thinking it's darn HOAT coolant. Is there inexpensive Radiator out there? Rather order one that can be returned in case lower looks clean in old Radiator. Time throw some parts at it. Best video for removing old radiator? These CRDs tight barely get a hand between fan and rad. Like to pull lower hose as getting in there tough. Best option for replacement I know 3.7 rads inexpensive, 2.4 rads but 2.8s diesel motor is expensive.

Without even looking at it, I can say with confidence that a Cummins radiator will be too big to fit.

When compared to the gasser Libertys, the CRD intercooler bolts to where the radiator would fit and the radiator bolts to the intercooler.
If you search Summit Racing you will find all kinds of radiators of various sizes. One of those is sure to fit. But you will have to fabricate mounting brackets for it.

HOAT is not bad coolant. It just doesn't mix well with any non-HOAT coolants and causes problems. Even the "universal" coolants don't mix with HOAT.

flash is absolutely right!!! I own a Dodge Cummins and replaced its radiator a few years back and that thing is big in my 98 model. It definitely will not fit in the small space provided for in the Jeep Liberty frame... The Dodge diesel radiator is much wider and taller!

I have a 1998 Dodge Cummins 12 valve. The radiator will not fit a Liberty.

Spectra Premium CU13279 is the cheapest Rad i found. Can be had for around 275 if you look around.. Trouble is not alot of places have them.

You can get the rad out without removing the front end. I took the fan out, and the fan shroud, all the bolts on the top support and removed the two top bolts for the intercooler and you can move the intercooler just enough up to get the rad out at the bottom and slide it up and out.. It is kinda hard but i didnt want to mess with pulling my ARB bumper off so...
