Does anyone know the values for valve recession on our 2.8 crd? I have my head at the machine shop to install new valves and they're asking for it. I tried googling it and also looked on the manual but didn't see anything.

Glad to read that you are replacing the exhaust valves, did not see this until after I posted about replacing them on your other thread on the glow plug problem!
as to the valve recession specs, this is the only number I could find:
Valve recession (service limit)
Exhaust & Intake 0.3 mm / 0.01181102 in
It was for a different 4 cylinder VM engine, but should still be close?
