This is as expected. Even in Kaliforniastan, land of abusive anti-diesel sentiments and dreams of weedeaters with catalytic converters....
If they barely know that a diesel Jeep exists, what makes anyone think that they would even have the first clue where to look for the EGR valve on one? Looking under the body with a mirror for the cat on the exhaust pipe and checking the computer for "readiness" and any active codes is all that 80%% of the testing out there would do. The other 20% may also do the sniff test with or without a dyno... But I'd be stunned if they did more than that. There are just too many options out there for engines. Look at how long VW got away with it, as did all the other manufacturers that have been cheating.
As long as the idiot light isn't on when (if) you have to go for a test or inspection... You are good.
Right on! So very glad that the majority of CRD owners do not have to put up with those tree hugging tailpipe sniffing idiots....

EGR anonymous; EGR's on Diesel Engines is pure EVIL and serve no worthwhile purpose!
