PLEASE HELP!! Just got in my 06 libby CRD started her up and the rpms shot up to 3k then 4k then 5k. Shut it down, tried again and same thing! WTF is going on???

My first guess would be a problem with the accelerator pedal.

This is a bit of a shot in the dark but normally in a gasser you see this issue when theres a problem with the MAF. by that priciple this issue could be MAP related. have you checked the MAP sensor?

Had a friend in the early 90's that bought a nearly new salvage title V8 Camaro, it had several episodes that scared the crap out him where the engine went full power by itself...several trips to dealer found nothing...ended up the accel pedal was occasionally sticking down in his after market floor mats!
