My friends 05 CRD is having a weird charging issue. While driving the lights will start to pulse brighter and dimmer around 2,000 rpms and up. I tested the battery and the alternator. All checked out well and stayed in the 14 volt range. That was with the vehicle stationery. Torque pro app shows it going up into the 16 volt range while driving only. I did use the search engine and couldn't find the same problem. Has anyone else experienced this that might lead my in the right direction.

Electrical issues are allways a PITA, have you tried checking the voltage off of the Alternator?

This is what I used to fix my alternator.
My headlights were pulsing at any rpm above idle.
Although I could never verify if it was overcharging.
