Hi all,

After getting my new 126K miles old 2006 CRD Limited in April I am slowly going through noob guide suggestions. Time has come to replace fuel filter and I figured I would swap filter head for the updated one. Got one with wiring kit from IdParts, but upon checking the new fuel heater connector fit to my old head found out it fits! Obviously one of the previous owners had done the job for me; confirmed checking part numbers. I only wish someone would post a picture of the old head, since with hard to read part number it is not straightforward to tell which head is installed. Anyway, if anyone is interested I am offering this new filter head with wiring kit (but without the filter) for $50 - hope this is OK to post here, since I am not a regular parts supplier. Embarrassing lesson learned :)
Happy Thanksgiving!
Alex

Pictures of both style heads have been posted for ages in the filter head bleeding video on SirSams NOOB guide not to mention lots of posts on this topic many of which clearly note that the obvious difference is the heater plug, drivers side on left hand drive models, is small and black/brown on the original and wider/blue on newer model.

If you have not already done so read the NOOB guide page 1.

Like I said, I have been through NOOB guide first day I joined, apparently not deep enough, hence the embarrassment :) And while lots of pictures were indeed posted, too many of them are long gone due to shut down of photo hosting servers. But shame, shame, shame on me, haven't I said that enough? :)
