Picked up bargain yesterday, Local guy buys up old motor part stock from car dealers. He had a complete set of Mopar hoses for the KJ CRD complete with suppressor and brackets all for £50. Well my old suppressor must have been faulty? Having fitted the new set it has made a noticeable difference to the steering. It must reduce power assistance at speed because now it feels tighter on fast twisty roads and light when driving slow. Lesson learnt stick with the suppressor or replace it, if your steering is light at speed. Easy way to check the suppressor operation, hydraulic fluid should rise in the filler bottle when you shut down the engine. The suppressor acts like a accumulator that's fitted to sealed heating system or pressurized hot water tank.

My faulty suppressor was probably the reason for my hose/ connector to fail.

I removed it and put down to experience. Vibrations with out the suppressor was to much for in town driving.
