well hello, i own a 06' CRD liberty, its already has 130k miles on it, everything was ok, but yesterday i was driving in the city like everyday, and suddenly after a little bit hard uphill start i noticed a very loud exhaust sound, it was obviously leaking. After some inspection its was an EGR tube, this little thing broken directly from the flange that hooks up with the exhaust manifold.
here are some pictures i took (and some others that i borrow)
so.. i wonder if somebody know the part code or some other information in order to replace the part.

this is where this tube is connected to the exhaust manifold

the other end goes straight to this valve

Thank u guys very much for any help.

Agreed, there is a template here somewhere for making two block off plates where the egr tube attached to the block .

Block it off at both ends!
Seth at Sasquatch Parts show parts to block it off using the OEM banjo clamp on the manifold end and a plate for the valve end. See picture below.
Contact him to see if he will sell you just the block off parts.
https://shop.sasquatchparts.com/product ... berty-crd/

Or tap and thread the exhaust manifold opening and screw a plug into it. Kinda hard to do due to location!

You can plate off the other end where the tube bolted to the valve by simply cutting off most of the OEM tube leaving about 3-4 inches, beat the cut off end flat with a hammer on a vise or anvil, then fold 1/4 inch of the flattened end over onto itself to make a crimp, and flatten it out a little bit more with a hammer to complete crimp...

Dimensions with instructions for a block off plate for the valve end in case you want to make your own:
can use a steel lid from a soup or vegetable can or any piece of steel sheet metal in the 14-18 gauge range.

IIRC if you chose to block the EGR tube off doing so will throw a engine code and turn on the CEL. If so you will need an ECU tune to remove the code and CEL. There are several free DIY tunes available or you can spring for the GDE tune which does lots of other beneficial things.

errr? i blocked off mine and got no code.....only code I got was when I unplugged the MAF.

EDIT (marcch 7) I should say the PO blocked it off only on the drivers side of the engine block. <<<i dont get codes thrown from that....but i do get a code from the MAF disconnect every time i start it, but i just delete it.

Don't know what the difference might be, but on my 2006, full removal of the EGR resulted in 2 codes and a CEL. Removal of the codes makes no difference, as the come back as soon as the key is turned to the on position. (does not need to be started)

If you block off the EGR feed tube, there is NO need to unplug the MAF sensor! Unplugging the MAF will certainly set a hard code DTC!

I ran my Jeep CRD for well over a year with just the EGR feed tube blocked off (MAF in service) and never got ANY *visible DTC's related to this! (check engine light)

*Note:----I do understand that if you connect a code reader you may see a code listed due to the lack of flow on the EGR valve, but it is a very soft code and normally will NOT trip a visible light on the dash according to most who have simply blocked off their feed tube with a plate. Although few posters have reported getting an occasional visible DTC after blocking off the feed tube and why some see one while most others do not, I have no good explanation for why.----

If you totally remove the EGR system and install one the Weeks elbow kits, it certainly will set hard codes due to unplugging the EGR valve and the FCV. When this happens, it will require a ECM reflash with one of the DIY tunes with the EGR/FCV delete code.

DIY tune information is located at:> http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=98&t=78418
