Has anyone here done a hardwire install of a radar detector and perhaps have pics or some advice? I just bought a Escort X50 and the hardwire kit, and am wanting to install it soon.
Thanks

The CB install threads probably have a few suggestions on how to run power that might be helpful.

well i got it all done yesterday. total installation took about 30 mins total if you have all parts on hand and know what you're doing. took me about 2-2.5 hrs total due to frustration, confusion, etc. I have it just above and to the right of my rearview mirror. The cord runs up into the headliner, to the passenger A-pillar, down the pillar, across behind the glove box, and into the back of the stereo area. I tapped into the ACC wire and the black ground wire of my stereo. I may want to switch at a later time and tap directly into the ACC fuse if I upgrade my stereo components at all. Other than that, she's all set...if I can figure out how to post pics I'll post a pic of my setup.
