Besides, you can buy the in-tank pump new in Canada for a lot less than the $250 for the Air Dog setup!
If you need help with modifying the harness, give us a shout!

see this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Fuel-Pump-Module ... pg&vxp=mtr
$126 (Approximately C $169.8 ) & free shipping in Canada!

This part is not compatible with 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport Sport Utility 4-Door 2.8L 2768CC 171Cu. In. l4 DIESEL DOHC Turbocharged.

??????????????

You will not find anyone listing this pump as an OEM fitment since it was NOT installed originally in the Jeep CRD.
But with a very small modification which is covered on this forum, it will fit and function just like it was installed by the factory.
There are many forum members who have installed this particular pump including myself and have had zero problems with the pump; only reports of no air in fuel and a better running engine!

I can second that. Got the same pump installed, works great! The harness is very easy to fab up yourself if you have some experience cutting and splicing. Otherwise ID parts has a great pre made harness that just plugs right in.

There are some no-name replacements for the in-tank fuel pump too that can be had for as little as $80 CAD. just some searching on amazon and ebay.

darn you all. This lift pump will cut into my beer budget. :banghead:

anyways, I really appreciate the info, and the time you all took to help me out. I'll figure out the finances somehow....

side note: experiencing a very light "ticking" during IDLE only, since i replaced the factory filterhead and filter with the Racor 245 and a 2 micron filter. Goes away INSTANTLY when the pedal is lightly pushed.

thoughts? it is near the 5000 KM oil change interval.......(using Mobil1 DELVAC ESP 0W40 full synthetic diesel oil and a Mobil1 oversized filter. )

or should i rebleed the Racor?

There are sooooo many things that could cause "slight ticking sounds" at idle with a diesel engine, that, without knowing everything about your particular engine, it would probably be a long process of elimination.
Most possibilities are not worth worrying about unless it gets louder.
I cannot think of a single one that would be caused by needing to bleed your Racor, however, most of us who have installed lift pumps, have noticed the engine idles much quieter, and more smooth.
That doesn't mean that such reasons don't exist, and bleeding it, would certainly not be harmful.

Dang good price!

The pressure isn't high enough to hurt anything, but they are WAY overkill for the CRD.

No reason it wouldn't work that I can think of, as long as you use good proper lines and fittings.

It actually could be a really good thing if you run Biodiesel or BDblend in % over 25.

Make sure to put new filters/water traps on. That kind of an accident is likely to have jarred bad things loose in the filters, that you don't want going to your CP3.

Neat thing about the FASS is even if you do pull air from the line fittings at the tank, it will deal with it internally rather than sending it on to the cascade overflow valve.

The thing you must check though, Is if you have enough room to mount it with the brake booster, the ESP/ABS unit, and the intake manifold right there.

I was going to mount elsewhere, possibly hidden in the ARB bumper winch well, with a custom metal shroud over it. I know its overkill, but i want to install a row of three x 2 micron fuel filter heads/ filters to polish the fuel before it gets to the injection pump.

re-bled the Racor, solved the issue. I'm loving this filter head and filter and water separator bowl. Worth the couple hundred bucks.

The raycor assembly has a good reputation here, but you should never have had to pump the factory fuel head near that many times. If I filled filter up at change it would sometimes start without pumping at all usually had to pump 5 to ten times. I never pumped mine more than 20 times even before i got lift pump and auxiliary filter. You must have had purely defective head.
