Just found this site and have read the NOOB guide. I am having problems viewing Turbo4Tim's website. I would like to build by own SEGR for my father's Jeep. Please advise me guys.

The SEGR has been superseded by the DIY tunes.
Block off or fully delete the EGR and load a DIY tune to eliminate the associated trouble codes. Then keep the MAF plugged in.

So where or what would you suggest for a diy tune?

Start by checking out this thread. It's pretty lengthy, but the first post has most of the info you need. I'd recommend reading through it before you buy the programming cable in order to get a feel for what you'll need and be doing.

If you do decide to go ahead with the flash, I can recommend user calvinvo on eBay for the cable & software. He currently has them available here, and I can confirm that the package I received was exactly the one needed for flashing our KJ.

I've only just started in on this about three days ago, and have been asking a ton of questions in the thread linked above. The responses I've received may be helpful to you; start here to pick up from where I came in.

One thing I will mention because I didn't fully understand it up front: the DIY tunes do not disable the MIL if you electrically disconnect either the AFM or FCV. If you can live with the Check Engine light being on after you do this, you'll be fine, but I wanted to mention it because I somehow managed to miss this point before I flashed the ECU in our KJ.

I think there may be a misunderstanding here???
I cannot speak for all tunes, but this is simply NOT TRUE for the 811 tunes (I am running one of them)! I have no EGR or FCV and have not had them for several years and have never had a MIL or DTC or check engine light or whatever you want to call them because of either item being gone or "unplugged"!

There is no such thing as having to live with a DTC unless you unplug the MAF which is totally unnecessary if you have Blocked off or totally removed the EGR & FCV junk...

My understanding is: Any of the DIY tunes listed that say: "EGR/FCV delete", means you can totally remove these two items (EGR & FCV) and not have any DTC light (Diagnostic Trouble Code) due to them being gone or unplugged!

(Emphasis above mine)

That's actually a better way of putting it. I haven't blocked off the EGR yet, so have the MAF electrically-disconnected. The MIL that I have is for the MAF, which, as you point out, can be reconnected if the EGR and FCV are removed - at which point the MIL will go out since the MAF is being detected again :)
