BADLANDS RUN ON June 24th, 25th

Guys...
today at Camp Jeep pre run we talked a little bit about a Badlands outing on June 24-25
This is a feeler to see if this short notice will get any response...
I felt bad that the Carrieville MI run got cancelled at the last minute...
so far I would say almost sure....

kj-bol - Will probably drive From Indianapolis to Attica
meduncan - stay both days - camping?
boghar - stay both days - camping?

How about you guys from MI? up for a 2 day trip?
Indianapolis - Cincy guys - we can caravan out of Indy early Saturday
Chicago & surroundings? - Badlands is calling !!!

I know it is short notice but lets just see.

We will be camping at Carrol Summer's campground. Hope to leave on Friday morning. Just orderd Hi-Lift Jack and off road recovery kit and hope to work on recovery techniques a bit.

as it was before since i dont have any skids or anything I would ride with one of you and take pictures. hopefully i have off that weekend.

That can always be fixed - there is always a seat available.... and we always need good pics/vids.
That way, you will also learn how capable is your KJ. Seeing others in action is always good.

I would like to come, and bring a friend of mine with (to be my spotter and camera guy) but I can not commit on anything until less than 24 hours before any event. This will continue until at least August of 2007 for me and my family as we wade through some major medical issues...

So, tentative...

After just getting back from the Camp Jeep pre-runs this afternoon I saw this and ran out to picked up my tent and supplies so I'm good to go. I'll be there for both days. If anyone wants to caravan over send me a PM. Depending on when we meet at Badlands I'll probably be leaving Columbus around 5AM to get there by 9AM (assuming that's the time we're meeting on June 24).

Not coming to the Natural Bridges Run then? Did we scare you away with the Haspin run? Just kidding, have a good time.

I'd love to make this run too, but I already have a few people heading down Natural Bridges area for a run.

Nah, it basically came down to what would prepare me for the terrain we'll see at Camp Jeep and Badlands looks to be it. I've also been curious to see what the Badlands is all about since it's talked about so much around here.

Hey, speaking of Camp Jeep, don't forget that more guides are still needed.

That's cool. Actually if you are still interested I'm heading down there on the 17th for a pre-run to scout out the area with a few other people. It has almost turned into two runs now.

I'd love to do the Camp Jeep Guide thing, but since I'm going to school here for my master I can't just skip out on class for a Thursday and Friday. I can only take time off during breaks between the quarters and on weekends.
