After doing the BCM recall the dealerhip offered me a free oil change when it's time because the took longer than they should have on the recall.

I usually do my own changes. Should I let them do it? I'm not sure about them using the mobil 1 0W40.

Any opinions? it's free!

Personally wouldn't put the 0W40 into mine again, but that's just me. Might want to express your concerns over the 0W40 oil and ask them if they would be willing to use a synthetic 5W40 CI-4+ alternative oil. Would be worth it for just the labor & filter if you had to supply the oil. Yes, I know it like going to a restaurant and taking your own food but my dealer was agreeable to it if it meant getting my service business.

Well i just called the dealership and the advisor said he would go down to the parts store and by the shell 5W40 full syn if i just call him a day ahead of time.
