Have an 06 Liberty CRD 2.8L Diesel with 180,000 miles on it. Replaced the motor 12 months ago. Motor had 120,000 miles on it. Was driving down the highway and it just died. Pulled the drain plug on the motor and there's metal and antifreeze in the oil. Didn't show any signs of anything being wrong with it until then.

Don't want to replace the motor again. Already paid 3K for the last one I put in.

What is it worth with having a bad motor? If I can get rid of it for what I have left on the loan I'd rather just sell it. Is it worth it to sell, fix, or just part out?

maybe $1200 with known destroyed engine unless you part it out yourself over time. Color may be important to those with some body damage. In case block still good you want to drain fluids and maybe put a cheap oil back in .
