Just bought it today. Engine feels real good with no unusual noises although I haven't driven it. Air blows cold and that's the important thing.

Is it the original engine? Do you know the history on the engine, what had been done to it?
Just curious in light of some of them dropping valves.

Have 312000, mostly city driving, allowing for oversized 245/70/16 tires which should have been OEM it would be 325- 330,000 miles. Have done EGR delete , replaced cam shafts , rockers, lifters, 5 volt steel glow plugs. No problems with dropped valves.

Not trying to stir anything since its not that important I would like to compare apples to apples.

First the original odometer etc may not be perfectly accurate but it should be close to the same on all our CRD s originally.

Many vehicles may have had oversize tires etc at least part of the time. As Diesler did best to state odometer reading and size tires for so many miles if known. For instance a 245/70/16 is about 29.5 inches in diameter where the stock tires for 16 inch rims are about 29.2 inches diameter. Therefore he has at least 1 % more miles than odometer states for the number of miles he has had those tires on his vehicle. I have 32.1 inch tires on the one I drive so they have about 10% more miles than odometer shows for the number of miles they have been on vehicle.

Just over 307,000 mi. Only engine issue that I have replaced is the crank case sensor. Bought it with 30k miles and have done oil every 5k and timing belt every 100k. Replaced every window regulator at least once and various other parts, but the engine and transmission have been solid.
