You guys are all great! I am debating. I can't decide if I am going to go 225/75R16 right now, or wait 6 months, and go for a frankenlift, with 245/75R16.
From Experience.... I had the same debate with myself.... Plans were to get 245/70-16 ats for my daily driving (2004 renegade - NO RUBBING), then get the Frankenlift , then find some nice Rubicon Wheels/MTRs and use those for wheelin'.
I was advised before on this and was told wait till lift then upgrade tires/wheels.
I did it "my" way and have enjoyed my decision from the begining. Went for the 245/70-16 tires first b4 lift, then got lifted, now upgraded to Rubi Rims/tires. The KJ looks soooo good in them I decided to keep it that way altogether.
So, .... spent $600+ on the Revos and now I'm selling them.
Final advise..... If you are going to keep the Stock rims with ATs at 245/70-16s and find other setup after lift, then go for it. If you plan NOT to keep your original rims with the 245s, then wait till lift then upgrade. My bet..... you will never want to go back on the stock rims / 245/70-16s
my 2 cents.
