Ever since I bought my CRD ~8 years ago there has been a "rattle" somewhere in the dash behind the glove box that only makes noise between 1500-2000 RPM. I figured it was something loose in the dash caused by the vibration of the diesel engine. Not wanting to tear my dash apart, have been living with it, routinely inspecting my glove box to make sure nothing inside was loose and making noise.

I recently replaced the HVAC blower motor and found my passenger courtesy lamp was burned out, so when changing the bulb I noticed the white plastic lens cover was rather loose on the black bulb housing, to the point where it could make noise in the right environment. I put some dielectric grease around the rim of the lens cover and so far no more noise!
