I have a leak coming from my fuel filter/ assembly. The moisture starts at the sensor connection point at the top of the filter and drips off the wif sensor on the bottom. Is it common for the mount assembly to leak or is this likely the top gasket of the filter giving up?

Which sensor connection point is leaking, there are two of them.
It is very common problem on these fuel filter heads for them to overheat and melt the connector and leak fuel from the Fuel Heater connection point especially if it still has the first generation fuel filter head in place. There is an updated/redesigned fuel filter head available on line to replace the complete assembly.

1. If it is leaking fuel from the fuel heater connection, unplug it, tape up the connector & wires and do not plug it back in, it is a fire hazard. The heater does not provide that much heat to the fuel, many run with them unplugged.
2. Spray out the connection socket on the fuel filter head real good with brake or carburetor cleaner (must be chlorinated), blow it out good, let it dry, then fill the entire connection cavity with some good automotive silicone sealer and let it cure for 24 hours until it is cured real good before driving.
3. If you don't have a lift pump (intank fuel pump) installed, a fuel leak in the fuel heater plugin cavity area is also an air leak which will allow air to be sucked into the fuel system and can cause running and starting issues.

Thanks. Mine does not appear to be leaking from the connectors... but I've ordered a replacement anyway... if FedEx would just deliver it to me. (it's been sitting at their depot for a week)

Latest update: no more leak. Solution: when I replaced my fuel filter, I noticed the old one was not installed correctly by random oil change technician (not tight) hence the leak. New filter installed correctly by me (tight!)
