Pinch weld just gets the mud rubbed off to leave a shiney spot. I only nitced it after offroading this past weekend. Haven't noticed any rubbing with normal driving.

245/70/16 General Grabber A/T 2's at stock height, no rubbing yet.

I just had my Grabber AT2's mounted today. The guys at Tire Barn filled them to 33 psi for pavement driving. The tires can handle 44 psi, so don't you think they should be filled to 35-38 psi? What's the best way to determine optimum tire pressure? The ride feels just right (not too mushy or too hard). They recommended the first rotation at 4,000 miles so they can check treadwear and tweak tire pressure as needed. Got all four tires mounted and blanced in under 40 minutes. White letters out. So far, I love the tires. The definitely make the KJ look more macho and offroad capable. They improved handling is obvious right away compared to the skinny OEM 215/75R16 Wranger ST's.

I've got the Load Range E's and they're rated for 80 pounds, but i only run 33 -35 in them, because that's all they need, don't be fooled by the sidwall markings on your tires, the door is where all the info is located. There should be a stciker on the driver's door that speifies pressure. If you REALLY want it to be perfect, grab a nice big peice of chalk and draw a line accross your tire...drive PERFECTLY straigt for a hundred feet or so, and then check the line...if it's worn in the center only, too much pressure, the outsides only, too little pressure, totally gone accross the whole tread, PERFECT...

It's been just over a day since I had the 245/70R16 Generals installed. There's minor rubbing -- and by minor, I mean practically nonexistent -- at extreme full-lock turns (sounds like only in the front), but 99.9% of normal driving is rub free. So I'm very happy. I won't be offroad more than a few times per year, so I chose these tires as the beefiest A/T tires I can fit without a lift, and that have good road manners. I'm very pleased with the improved traction and appearance. For $115 each (installed), I couldn't be happier. Co-worker have complemented me on the "big tires."
