Even with many years of experience, I made a !@#$ rookie mistake I'm hoping somebody can help me recover from. The mercifully-short version of the story is that, though they were all previously marked by cylinder, I'm now not able to tell which are the #2 and #4 injectors. Painful to admit...

Can anybody steer me on to how to figure out which goes where?

Steve

It really doesnt matter where you reinstall the injectors. The engine will still run just fine. The injector code programming (which injector goes into what postion) by the ECU is for a very slight fuel trim. You can always get a DRB III programer and do the reprogramming ypur self.

You might get lucky and see if the injector codes are written on the timing cover to see which injector goes into what position.

Thanks 03, that's better news than I was expecting. I'll still try to narrow down the right hole for each injector...

Many years of experience………should tell you to look at the sticker on the timing cover(if it’s still readable) it’s a 24 digit number. Each injector has 6 digits. Line up each injector in that sequence
