Umm, what are the consequences if I used the heavy springs as I'm looking into a bumper that is not as heavy as the ARB. I don't want the front end to sag, but, will it sit too high or ride hard?
Thanks

Nothing really. The ride "might be" a bit stiffer but I highly doubt you will notice any difference. The ARB bumper only weighs about 70lbs. Its the static weight when driving and bouncing down the road that the springs get exercised. The shocks is what will smooths the ride out.

O3B - Totally appreciate your input!

I'm definitely replacing the upper control arms with something stronger.
I used Moog 6 years ago, the joint is okay but the tiny bushings are wrecked.

Also -
Any thoughts on BILSTEIN :
B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable) - front strut Part Number: 24-282642
B8 5100 - rear Shock Absorber Part Number: 24-282659

Read this for the 5100's

As for the upper control arm, the best out there is JBA uppers for the KJ. Lifetime warranty, replaceable ball joint, fitment/quality is OEM, and excellent customer service.

Always read the fine print! When I bought the new GSP CV axles I didn't notice the small detail about standard installation. With the OME 2790 springs my lift is just over 4 inches in front. Needless to say the New CV axles only lasted 3 weeks, 350 miles before failure. The second day after installation I started hearing a clunking, clacking noise when I drove over a bump or a dip. I thought it was the larger springs rubbing but I could not find fresh rub marks. Driving home from work, during a left turn the right front tire started making a thumping feel and sound. Yep, axleshaft is not centered in the boot.

The ride with the Bilstein shocks and the OME springs is great. It rides smoother than my Yukon Denali.

Lesson learned the hard way. Any recommendations on good quality CV axles for lifted Liberty's?

Thanks for everyones advice getting me to this point.

With that spring you should be at max 3" of lift over stock after a front end alignment.. Stock height is 19" from center of the hub to bottom of the fender flair. Did you also, add a top plate spacer and conduit nuts between clevis fork and strut?

As for CV axles, I'm running trakmotive extended travel CV axle. The are for lifted Liberty's and have a different CV design for increase angle articulation. You can find them under different brand names but with the same manufacturer part number. I got mine from Rockauto.

Question regarding the front upper JBA control arms.....
The upper ball joint grease fitting will be bottoming out / hitting the bump stop. Correct?
I see Rocky Road has a bump stop extension for stock and their own upper control arms.
I'm not sure they fit JBA arms - or needed.
( In regards to using JBA upper arms, Medium load Ironman coils 1.5"lift, Bilstein struts, no spacers )
Thanks!

Call Teraflex and ask them for the longer front bump stops (Teraflex # 1903200). They don't have them listed on their website anymore but they still have them. Don't use rockyroad, they have terrible customer service and you'll be waiting forever for your parts.
Once you install them just cut out a notch in the rubber for the grease fitting to go into.
