The Liberty needed new tires so been looking at options. Stock ride height so tire size limited. Was looking for Michelin 225/75r/16 LTX but couldn’t find any. Went with Uniroyal Laredo 225/75r/16 load range E made by Michelin. Ordered tires from Walmart and had delivered. Mounted and lifetime balance at local independent tire shop with front end alignment. Run tires at 40psi and ride is excellent. Liberty runs mostly on country roads.

Tough on gravel/country road or off road, less prone to puncture !

Liberty travels mostly country road and highways. Did about 370 miles today Saturday some through heavy rain. At 40 psi the heavy duty tires track excellent through deep water puddles. Ride is firm but not harsh. Handling is excellent. Transmission shifts into 5th gear at 62mph. I back down to 60 mph and set cruise control with about 1750 rpm and ride is superb.

Mine had 245/70/16 AT - could have probably gone 245/75/16 & they are actually higher load rating plus extra 1/2" under the axle
Thats important when you off road in the outback / tow a decent trailer

does have 2" lift, and looks balanced

I got a question about tire size options:
My Liberty is running on 225/75/R16.
I'm putting on a 1.5" Ironman spring lift and looking for a taller tire, like one size taller or two.
But can I find a tire that fits properly with my stock rims and NOT be wider than stock. I'd love the tire to just be a bit taller only.

I couldn't find anything in the 225 width that was taller. I ran 215/85 for a while. Then added more lift and run 235/85 now.

People commonly run 235/75, which is a bit taller than stock and not noticeably fatter.

I found HANKOOK® - DYNAPRO MT2 RT05 is an aggressive tire ( I'm tired of the highway look )
Also Firestone Destination X/T but not many other choices in this size.

Can you run a 235/75r16 on a stock crd liberty? No rubbing?

You should be able to. That's a 30" tire and stock tires that came on the liberty were 29" tall but that was with a new suspension and no sagging on the front springs.
