Hello,

I have a randomly extremely brutal shift of the ratio from 2 to 3, sometimes it goes nickel and sometimes it really brings a noise and a shock sensation. The box has just been drained in full flush with atf4+ mopar and the level is 1 mm above max when hot, so no worries on this side, no defect in the suitcase.

Nevertheless, I had a line pressure recorded code that was too high and the line pressure sensor open circuit, I will change the sensor later and do a test again but I doubt it comes from the...

After the oil change of the gearbox, the gears went nickel almost without any damage and as if it had been degraded over time and it had returned as before (the oil change was done because these symptoms were already present)

The thing that the oil change improved, before the oil change when I was going to R I had an increase and by removing the R I still had an increase, there I only got it when coming out of position R.

If I’m not mistaken, the reverse gear and the overdrive are in the same 'bowl' inside the gearbox so I imagine that a problem present on one of these two positions would necessarily affect the other which would be my case. Have you ever had an issue of this type??

Thank you for your help!

Hello to everyone

I noticed that I didn’t have a problem with sudden changes when I drive slowly and that at the time of shifting, I don’t have much gas.

So the problem does not occur all the time, I saw that it could be from bodyvalve, what do you think? I plan to order a kit from Transgo with springs, plate, and battery seal.

I have a pressure sensor as an add-on to my old Jeep, I will already try that since I have the part

This trans likes to be 1 qt over the fill mark. When you changed the fluid did you make sure that the spin on filter was on tight? The dip stick is to long for this trans pan so when it says full, its actually a quart low and has caused some problems like what your experiencing. Try adding a quart and see what happens.
Otherwise I'm out of ideas.

Hello, Thank you very much for your response, I will try to look at the level and try to add a bit of oil but I think I am already between 0.5 and 1 liter above. The filters are normally tight and the main filter is well pushed into the joint. Same, I will drop the carter during the week and I will check its points there. I have a fault that comes from time to time during diagnosis (high or low line pressure).
I also changed the pressure sensor but it doesn’t change anything, I would say that it might be worse than better.
I will already redo the level + check the filters + put back the original sensor and keep you informed

Hello to everyone

I dropped the crankcase and checked the filters, everything is ok.

So I redid the level by adding 800ml to the maximum of the gauge and I still have issues moving from 2 to 3.
The problem doesn’t occur all the time, it’s becoming crazy, I don’t see any logic, I have the impression that the gearbox behaved well at a moment when I didn’t have the required amount of oil (-1.5l/2l) and it made 3 successive passages from 2 to 3 without overtaking.

Upon returning, I did a pedal acceleration on the floor, the speed went well but just after, the gearbox started to deteriorate and several defects appeared:

ECM
P0751 Brake switch 1 performance
P0700 Transmission control system ( request MIL )

TCM
P0871 Rationality of the OD pressure switch

I also erased three defects from the TCM along the way

P0869 High line pressure/P0932 Line pressure sensor circuit/P0934 Low line pressure sensor circuit

These three defects did not reappear afterwards.

Does the code P0871 show a Bodyvalve problem? If so, is it sufficient to receive a Transgo kit?...

Thank you very much for your help!
Have a good weekend

I just did some tests with the suitcase, the "1st filling index of the clutch ND UD" is 102, should it be limited to 100 or not?

I have a speed difference between the turbine speed and the output speed (I believe it’s the output speed but I will check the exact name again), can a speed sensor be defective and explain a transition problem from 2 to 3?

I think I have to drop the box and inspect in detail unfortunately

I am French and I speak with a translator so sorry if the terms are not accurate I hope you will understand me

I will also buy a kit for the solenoid valve, the transgo RFESV420NT, someone next to my place has one for sale, it might help me with my problems, but I wonder if I should take the 420 or the 450 or if I can start with the 420 and if I have other problems later taking the 450, I don’t understand how it works? Or do I need to disassemble the one currently on my gearbox and measure it?
