i'd like to get a lift, but it'll never happen becuase the car is my parents' technically. If it were mine, I'd get a Frankenlift and 245/75 MTR's.

Sit down with your parents, show them the LOST website, and then discuss the lift and tires with them. Rational, logical, and understandable (for parents) information might get them to allow you to do it.

And include the structured nature of Jeep events, the great ability to socialize, and also the learning knowledge of mechanical/electrical engineering (mods).

Yep. I inherited (took) the KJ from my parents and I'll get the title when I graduate H.S. Show them good info, the pics, and how supportive the Liberty owners are and it should turn out fine. My folks are actually telling me to lift mine and put bigger tires on now.

thanks for the support, but my parents aren't the kind to give in to something like that. Besides, they're paying me back all the money I saved by having a scholarship when I graduate. I'm thinking I'll use that towards a nice car in the future, say, 5-7 years down the road. Til then, I'm happy with what I got. I'm just happy to have a 4x4 period. I used to have a RWD 95 XJ.
