Anyone seen these? Looks like a better way to hide a small stash (keys, emergency money) then a Hide-A-Key which I never trusted. Downside is they cost around $90!

Check out the .pdf brochure. I love the pic of the Hide-A-Key laying by the side of the road!

i agree with mikeD106, $90 bucks is too much. it looks basically like a standard combination lock in a receiver type plug,, but if it was $40 or so,, i would definately get one,, you never know when your gonna need a spare key.. locksmith to the middle of nowhere = paid for itself the first time..

seems like an awsome idea, but yeah, $90 is WAY too much.

That's what I was thinking - $40 is about right for what I'd pay.

However, now that I know about it, no reason to not stick a spare key inside my reciever. I'm sure I could figure out a way to secure it. Maybe in between the receiver and the drawer bar.

That actually seems like a good idea. I wonder if a couple of heavy duty zip-ties would do the trick. Keeps it kind of inconspicuous (sp?) but still accessible without too much work.

I was thinking of black or duct tape to the outside of the drawer bar and then sliding it into the receiver so it was sandwiched between the two.

Yea, that would probably be easier to do also.

How many nuts to take off the reciever????

Nice, not secure enough.

Zip tie the keys, put cash under the carpet.

You can also bolt a small lock box underneath.

Plus, The 245/70 will rub

I agree, taping a key to the back of the hitch, inserting it into the receiver, and using the locking hitch pin I already have would be just as secure. I put locking lugs on my wheels; makes me wonder how many people go around stealing hitch receivers....
