Currently have a set of Toyo Open Country A/T's and they will need replacing this fall. These tires are great and I was going to buy them again, but I've just seen the new Yokohama Geolander AT/S's! My tire guys are currently trying them out on a service truck, but has anyone out their put them on yet? They are the ones with the serated sipes.

Geolander AT/S's? Ive never seen these. I just ordered 4 general grabber A/T 2's about 20min ago. I wanted the geolander a/t's but liked the look of the grabbers better. My bro has the geos on his jeep but its never been offroad so idk how they would do.

I tried them once and 3 out of 4 tires were out of round...My friend at Discount Tires said that was not unusual for them. They changed them out for Pirelli Scorpions...they were some great tires.

I don't think they're very much alike at all. But more than tread pattern, I think the reason the SR/As are so poopy is to do with compound and sidewall durability. When I had my MT/Rs put on I couldn't believe how thin the sidewalls on the SR/As were. But no one's really pushing a vehicle on a test drive and the squishy stockers make for a numb (i.e. 'no feedback') ride so the average driver gets the impression of the Liberty as a civilized vehicle.

IMO go with a MT dont care wich but what ever it is i would go MT
i have had all types of tires and for some reason the cheepest MT's seem to hold up better than most AT's
and every body knows you cant beat a super swamper
