OBX trip - 2006

I can't find it. It's killing me. What weekend in October are we going? I had it marked on my calendar and then I changed computers 'cause I changed jobs. Now my wife and I are trying to make Fall plans and I can't find it anywhere in my notes or through searching the forum. Arrrgh! Help!

I thought it was Oct 7-8 this year.. First weekend in October... But I could be wrong.. If anyone knows.. Dean would know..

LOL, yeah I didn't look at my calendar. The weekend might get a better turn out than a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.....but that is what the site says.

Dean and I usually like to do the run either the first or second weekend of the month. Dont know why he put down that date though. Im hoping to have a big turn-out for this one. The first year we had 5 Jeeps, then we had 7 or 8 last year. Think we can break 10 this time?

US Columbus Day is October 9th 2006

The OBX run is the weekend of Columbus Day, so we will be doing the run on the 7th. People can arrive on the 6th and leave on the 8th or 9th (depending on their schedule).

I will update the site. Don't know how I got the date wrong.

Cool.. Count me in... I can't wait to see people's reactions when they pass by us that night while we are watching movies on the beach..

I hope we do get alot of people.. It will be really nice...

Yeah.. Same here.. I am going to travel up on Friday night.. I have to talk to the wife about sleeping arrangements.. Not sure if we are doing a hotel or camping.. I myself is leaning towards camping.. If we can get all the LOST members together, maybe we can reserve a few spots so we can all camp together... Just an idea..

I'm not sure about camping -vs- hotel either Ben. I think camping might be fun. Are there campgrounds with bath-houses there? I've only ever been on Okracoke's beach, so I don't know the area really well.

I will probably end up camping (thats if the Wind desides to cooperate this time Dean!). Think its too soon to start a thread with who is attending and the general plan of where we are going? If I remember correctly we agreed last year that we should start in Okracoke and working our way back.

I agree with Richard. It is too early to decide on any of this stuff. I needed to get the specific weekend pinned down though, so no other plans would be laid upon it.
