Jason Thompson, I wheel my ranger hard and it goes anywhere I need to take it and I have yet to break anything. I find them to be very capable as far as small trucks go. I know this is not about rangers, just had to defend my baby ha ha. As far as the kj, it is also very trail capable, makes me wonder what some of you guy's are trying to do with your rigs. If it's the extreme stuff, then thiers no factory rig capable of extreme conditions without modifications, even a rubicon. I go up in the mountains, point my rig and it goes, if I get into a situation where it won't, then I pick another line. What happen to just trail ridding and site seeing, some camping and just enjoying the out doors? Now it seems all rigs are judged on thier ability to climb rock cliffs and boulders. KJ, patroit, ranger, whatever is capable of haveing a great time offroad and doing the trails. The willys flatfenders that sarted it all had 60 hp, open diffs and some weak parts, but no one says thier not very offroad capable. Ground clearence and traction is the secert to offroad capability on any rig, pick your lines with that in mind that best suits your vehicle and have a blast. Keep wheeling simple, do have to put dana 60's front and rear and 10" of lift to have a good time, of course not.
