$660????? there's some serious hidden charges in there. no offense but what with the $200+ bucks to mount balance and throw on the car? that seems a bit extreme. At $87/tire that comes to $435 for 5 tires. I understand theres some tax but most places charge like $15/tire to mount and balance. something seems a miss. My 5 new AT tires ($103 each -- $16 more per tire than yours) cost $515 plus tax ($550 OTD) mounted balanced and lifetime rotation with roadside hazard for 3 years. Replace any tire that has a mishap...seems like they got you on the backend. Just curious.
Even with tax and mounting of 5 $87 dollar tires, it should be well below $600. Just using OH sales tax of 7%, yours should be around $435 (tires) + $75 (mounting and balancing and disposal of 5 old tires if needed) + tax is around $540+...give or take whatever your tax rate is....seems they are getting about $120 too much (which in my book is an additional 6th tire!). before they put them on, have him spell out the numbers for you at Sears...seems wrong. Just lookin out for ya

because the $87 price match is
awesome...but sometimes they make it up elsewhere without you knowing it...one tire guy tells me that all the time, and my new tire dealer states right off the bat, "NO hidden charges" right when you start talkin numbers.
At $133/per tire mounted and balanced...they are charging you almost $50/tire (including tax) to mount and balance each one. that sounds too high. is it me, my lame math or am I missing something????
Just double check is my point. Make them carry the GOOD deal throughout the whole process.
