You might want to check your throttle body, and linkage first since that's easy and you can do it yourself in about a half an hour. It could be getting stuck open. I had that problem with a Toyota Cressida with high milage (175,000 miles). It got stuck open at full throttle upon entering the interstate. Shot up over 115 mph before I got it shut down. That fast with no power to the power brakes or power steering isn't much fun at all. Once I finally got it off to the side of the road and stopped, it was still stuck at wot. The throttle linkage had come slightly lose. That allowed it to bind when it was pulled at the wrong angle. It could also be the throttle body is dirty. The blade inside could be gummed up. Especially if you use an upgraded intake without a bag in dusty conditions or offroad. If that's not it, take it to a good transmission shop.
