If you want to avoid reading the whole novel, just skip to page nine where all the final design info is: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... &start=160 |

Lots of other threads besides the one posted above for sure just do a search. depends what you are looking for , one to attach to your existing rails, replace the rails with aftemarket or what. Post what you will be using it for and that will help also to see what will best work for you. Also check out Rock Lizards site for a GREAT rack, and one of the first original designs! |

I got mine from a fellow LOST member, but you can get them here: http://www.discountramps.com/roof-rack-basket.htm for 109.99 + shipping http://www.amazon.com/Black-Widow-Roof-Storage-Basket/dp/B000HDJLSW $99.00 + shipping and if you watch Ebay they are on there often (at least when I look off & on) |

Black Widow with extension on Thule load bars. Factory crossbars didn't work because I needed to move the feet too far forward for the bracket to fit properly.

short version drilled through the side rails then ran 1/2 inch all thread inside of a lenghth of steel pipe, nuts on each end, good and solid, plus pretty low, worked great. Other ways to do it as well some in the Fabrication section |

DryBones says thanks and if he wasn't so lazy he would have pulled the rock rails and done them in yellow too by now. |

![]() ![]() You know Tom, RL should use those pics because they're the first images that make the rack look good. I wasn't overly impressed with images available on the RL website. Anyway, I haven't been impressed with many racks / baskets, mainly because everything I've seen so far (including supposed new stuff coming out) all looks too bulky to me. I was thinking when I get down to that point on my shopping list, I was going to order the RL replacement steel rails and then add a BlackWidow basket with fairing. Just when I thought I had it figured out, you throw a wrench into it with those pics. - Thanks. |
