Torque Wrench

Does anyone have a torque wrench I can borrow?

or if I bodyweight all of the big bolts will I be OK? :mrgreen:

can get a cheap one a Menards for like 20-25 dollars. Thats what I use, and surprisingly it works good, just as good as my dads craftsman!

I have a craftsman that I bought last year that seems like it is a POS. There is a little rotating cap that is supposed to lock the handle but it seems to slip off of "locked" easily. I can't imagine any that are much more cheaply made than the current ones craftsman makes.

The tip on menards was what i was really looking for. I figured someone would point me to a cheapo torque wrench

I bought a Great Wrench I think it is long time ago, surprisingly a sturdy decent wrench, paid around $25. Make sure you get the dial on handle kind, not the one with the bar that moves along scale across the top. I bought mine cause I had to do valve job on our old CJ5 304... head bolt were a freaking 110#'s, broke 3 sockets and a reducer trying to remove them things.
Anyway, chasing rabbits. Find a 3-4' piece of pipe that will slide over your wrench and torque it down. We used the handle from the floor jack @ Sperb's last year.
